Support Ankara victims
“People were running and screaming, they were scared. There was this one woman, who I won’t ever forget, she had lost her friend, that will stay with me forever.” MUA Officer Saadet Ozdemir, Ankara Turkey
It is now more than a week since the two horrific suicide bombs exploded during a peace rally in Ankara Turkey. This event, organised by the Turkish Trade Unions across the country was demanding an end to the brutal fighting across the country.
95 people were massacred on this day. Hundreds of protestors have also suffered horrific injuries and amputations and they need our help to get urgent medical assistance.
The International Transport Workers Federation (ITF) Affiliate Union for Turkish Dockworkers has been on hand from the start of the crisis and has been directly supporting injured protestors and their loved ones, ensuring they get the medical attention they require.
